Dutch Witness program
May 16 -19, 2009

On Monday May 18th , 2009, participants in a Dutch Witness program visited the Sumud Story House along the Wall near Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem. Their visit included a good bye dinner with their hosting families.

The women who hosted the group performed traditional and national songs and trills known from various occasions like weddings and the putting of henna on the bride, along with traditional storytelling. Most of the Dutch group enthusiastically participated in the women’s dancing.

The women of the AEI showed the results of their ongoing training that is part of the Cultural Tourism program Spirit of Sumud (funded by the Netherlands Representative Office in Ramallah). The small show illustrates what the Spirit of Sumud program can offer you.
